Classification of Plastic Material

According to the different materials and different uses, there are professional signs on the general plastic lunch boxes to distinguish them.

1-PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate): Ten months of using will produce carcinogens. This material of plastic is very likely to be discarded, usually used as mineral water bottles, milk bottles, etc. It is not suitable for the super-cold water or overheated water, and it is easy to precipitate carcinogen DEHP. 

2-HDPE (High Density Polyethylene): Not recommended for reusing, because it is not easy to clean and easy to breed bacteria. Generally speaking, cosmetic bottles, bath milk plastic packaging bottles belong to this material. 

3-PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride): Easy to release harmful substances in case of high temperature and grease. It is commonly used in raincoats, plastic toys, building materials, etc.

4-LDPE (Low Density Polyethylene): Easy to produce harmful substances under high temperature. Plastic bags and plastic films are usually made of this kind of plastic in daily life. Wrapping food with preservative film is easy to dissolve harmful substances when heated with oil.

5-PP (Polypropylene): The only material that can be used for microwave heating, very healthy material. It can be reused after careful cleaning. But the cover of microwave plastic Food Container is not PP material, so it is recommended to remove the cover when heating. 

6-PS (Polystyrene): It is heat resistant and cold resistant. It is the material for making the bowls of instant noodles and foam fast food container. It cannot use for microwave because the temperature will be too high to produce chemicals.

7-OTHER: Code 7 mainly refers to all the plastics except 1-6. The plastic label for plastic milk bottles and drinking fountains is usually "7"
